What do to when your warning light flashes

  • Barrowford MOT Centre

Cars today are full of electronics that act as operants to a series of sensors which in turn monitor the various parts of our vehicles in order to ensure everything is running smoothly. And with winter looming around for a little longer the last thing you need is for your car to break down, which is why we must pay close attention to the warning light on our dashboard and what it is trying to tell us.

Granted it isn’t always easy to know what our warning light may be indicative of but among the top five contenders are reasons such as brake systems & fluids, oil, battery, engine, and tyres.

As normal as it is for us to get caught up in the day to day of our lives and put off certain things on the do to list, to procrastinate when it comes to the warning light in our cars and we may be running the risk of damaging that particular part of our vehicle and more importantly rendering it unsafe to drive.

To be certain about what your warning light is telling you always check your manual for more information and then take the necessary actions which can sometimes be as simple as topping up fluids, inflating your tyres or adding some oil. If however you find the problem in your car is a little more complex or you are unsure of what the issue may be then here at Barrowford MOT Centre we have trained specialists on hand ready to help. Drop us a call today on 01282 696351 and a member of our team will be happy to help.
